When it comes to the little luxuries in life it is best to get the best. They make us feel special or give us that extra special feeling. Funny how something so small and something not everybody thinks about can make that bit of difference for you inside.

What we are talking about specifically here is the little talked about luggage tag. Most people just use whatever their luggage comes with. It may not be suitable and it may not fit you as a person and you definitely do not want it to be of a poor quality where your tag falls off right at that time you are wanting to find your luggage because Heathrow airport has lost it again.

When speaking of quality we may as well focus on the material it is made from. Different materials will of course be giving you a different look and you want to be sure to choose one that goes with the luggage you have now or are expecting to purchase. Different tag materials for your luggage also mean different levels of quality because some will survive the wear and tear of travelling and some will not, even though they might look great.

Let us now look a little more into what the materials actually are:

Plastic – this is probably the most common form of luggage tag that is out there. You can leave the standards ones on there but make sure that the way it is attached is secure. If you are getting personalized tags for your luggage then these will not put you out of pocket as much as the others.

Leather – if you have purchased leather luggage then this would come as standard. For something truly durable, get leather.

Cloth – These can be made yourself and you can sew your details in. Sounds like too much work so you can pay for these to be made.

Nickel – Engrave your details into a nickel luggage tag for that dog tag look. Looks great.

Silver – Engrave these like the nickel ones but with a more luxurious pampered feel. You do not want to loose this tag!

Laminated – similar to plastic but more customizable, put any picture you want to make this truly yours.

Chrome – similar to the previous descriptions for nickel and silver, chrome looks great and does not need any maintenance. It is waterproof and lasts a really long time.

So there you have it – a whole range of materials to get the best out of your little luxury item. Keep in mind all of these types of materials when you are looking for your individual tag for your luggage.
