As I have mentioned in previous posts, most people do not think that the humble tag that we put on a luggage is that big of a deal. And I hope that I have given enough reasons as to why they really are fabulous and great.

In this post I want to show you the different systems that are around that allow the tag to be something different and special. They are not necessarily a device but a process as well.

Laminator – There are many large and innovative companies out there that produce really good laminator systems for the luggage tag. They also allow you to buy extra laminate so that you can make a lot of tags for yourself or for others. A machine would be involved as well as the laminate of course. These are very waterproof and are sometimes reusable depending on the ink you have used to write your details.

Liquid – These are the type of tags that have liquid in them so that when you touch them they are soft and squishy. Every one has their own personal tastes and they can include this also. To make a liquid luggage tag there are systems and machines which allow the liquid to stay inside and have them sealed all the way around as well. They need to be strong enough to have a pen write on them and not have them puncture.

Personalized – There are some websites that allow you to custom create your very own tag for your luggage. You choose things like pictures and words and sizes and orientations. You decide how many you want and what color and then you place your order. They make them and then process your payment and then send you exactly what you ordered. It is like self service tagging.

Cards – This includes cards that are used for more than just luggage. There are cards that are used by hotels whereby the tag can be used to identify your luggage as well as being a charge card for phone calls or kiosk purchases. Very innovative and user friendly uses.

As is shown here, there are many systems that are used to make varied, interesting and unique tags for all types of people and all sorts of luggage. If you are looking for a truly different and personalized tag for you and your luggage, then you know where to go and now you know what is out there.
